Now that you have started a session, here are some ideas on what you can do with it.

Prototype Computational Tools¶

To transform your notebook into a tool, follow these basic steps:

1. Define input arguments in the first code cell.
2. Print output properties to standard output in subsequent code cells.
3. Click the Blue Button to preview your tool.
4. Click the Red Button to deploy your tool.
5. Click the Eye Icon and change the visibility of your tool from Hidden to Public.

Publish Interactive Blogs¶

When starting your own interactive blog, first decide whether it will be for research or development.

• The Mission Template is useful for remembering what you are doing and why you are doing it.
• The Experiment Template is for research.
• The Lesson Template is for preparing lesson plans.

We recommend spending 10-15 minutes on discussion and 15-20 minutes on practice.
